Who does most of the work on your car?

My boyfriend and I have done all the work on this car in our own garage. Countless hours have gone into this build, and I am proud to say that we have built it and put all the time in to make it what it is today.

What made you choose this car over the competitive cars in it's class?

I like the Subaru wrx, as it wasn’t my first Subaru. I always liked Subaru, they are sporty, AWD, safe cars and easy to work on and modify. I of course wanted a car that was turbo and fun to drive.

Did you achieve your Initial Goal with the car?

I have achieved many goals with the car. I would have not thought I would bring it this far when I first bought it. I achieved my goal of reaching out and getting sponsors, to winning my first award. To winning at Hot import Nights. I am looking towards the future and making new goals all the time for me to reach and achieve. Nothing is too big or too small, my main goal is to make it to SEMA one day.

What would you want your next project car to be?

My boyfriend has always wanted a Chevy c10 so I do see that in our future

WORDS FROM THE OWNER

I am 29 years old, went to Becker College in Worcester MA and finished with a BA in Graphic Design. I recently bought a house in Coventry CT with my boyfriend and my dog and cat. I also ride horses and compete in horse shows as well as car shows. I have also started hosting and planning car events for fundraising purposes, and have been asked by friends to help them as well. I love attending car shows I get to meet and talk to new people from all over that share the same passion as I do.

When did you buy your WRX?

2009, I have had the car for about 7 years

Owner Occupation- Sales Rep, event planner, sponsorship manager: Tuning Alliance

PT Program Coordinator: Glastonbury Community Center

PT Office/Program Coordinator: Rocky Hill Senior Center

Where do you see yourself with this car in the next couple years?

With how much we have progressed through the years I hope to see myself at SEMA and traveling all over and being invited into bigger well-known events.

What are your future plans for the car?

Right on my list of plans for this car, is paint and wide body for modifications. Once that is done I am looking to attend Import fest in Canada, and hopefully achieve my goal of attending SEMA

What/Who inspires your build?

I build my car for me, not for anyone else. It is unique and is a piece of me, shows my passion. It is to show that girls can build cars just as well as boy’s can

What is your favorite mod on your car?

I don’t have just one favorite mod on my car. I like the fact that my car is unique, different that I can say all the work has been done in my own garage. If I had to pick one modification I would say my Morette headlights, as they are the nicest in my opinion for the bugeye and you don’t see them a lot, they are unique, and I get asked all the time where did I get them.

What was your goal with the car when you first purchased it?

When I first bought the car, I mostly just needed a car to drive and get me from point A-B, and wanted a sporty car. Never would I have thought back then I would have a well-known show car, and travel all around to different events.

Is there anyone you would like to thank for the help/support throughout this journey?

I would like to thank my friends that have been there and have supported me. Of course all my sponsors that have helped me along to make my build what it is today; Tuning Alliance, Air Lift performance, Meguiars, ZZpowdercoating. And of course my biggest supporter of all my boyfriend, Josh Alexander. He has been there from the beginning and as stuck by me through thick and thin, with the build and helping me make it what it is today, and for traveling everywhere I go, and of course for all the support. He is one person I can count on to be there for me and he is my rock. If it wasn’t for him and all my sponsors I would not be where I am today, and made it this far in my journey.

Is this your first project car?

No. I had a 2001 Subaru 2.5rs before my wrx. That my boyfriend and I worked on all the time, until it got totaled, which is when I got the WRX.
